Mashed Potatoes
We’re having a potluck Thanksgiving lunch at work today. I made mashed potatoes.
I peeled and cut 5 - 6 pounds of potatoes. Boiled them in heavily salted water. While they were boiling I simmered a pint of buttermilk, a cup of heavy cream, a half stick of butter, and 5 cloves of garlic. When the potatoes were done I drained them, returned them to the pot, and mashed them with enough of the liquid to get the right texture. Salt and pepper to taste.
Can’t wait until lunch.
