To all you doubters out there: finally, scientific proof that it makes more sense to have the toilet paper go over the top instead of falling underneath.

I agree with this in most cases, howsomeever, if you have toddlers it may be that the wrong way is the right way.  When the little tykes become mobile they will take to exploring their habitat.  At some point, they will find themselves in the bathroom and one of the things at eye level is the toilet roll.  They’ll usually give it a downward smack.  If the roll is hung correctly this will lead to a yard or so of unraveling.  This is quite amusing for our young Einstein, so they’ll hit it again and unravel it more.  Rinse.  Repeat.  By hanging the roll incorrectly the child can still get some amusement from hitting and making it spin without unraveling the whole roll.
