As of 10/29:

• 90,726 early votes cast (13.02% of reg. voters; 114.55% of 2004 early voting)
• 53,539 Dems voted (20.06% of reg. Dems; 142.38% of 2004 Dem early voting)
• 20,146 Reps voted (10.63% of reg. Reps; 78.71% of 2004 Rep early voting)
• 27,206 African Americans voted (26.05% of reg. AA; 176.35% of 2004 AA early voting)

The extension of early voting hours appears to have had the desired effect, as 15,636 people voted yesterday.  That’s up from 11,556 the previous day.  Each early voting day has seen an increase in turnout, but that’s the largest increase by about 3,000 people.
