Don’t get me wrong, dangerous people need to be taken care of, but doesn’t the statement, “The court will decide whether the president has legal authority to detain US persons indefinitely without charge” just strike you as plain wrong? What half-way intelligent person would say, “Yeah, they can do that” and not feel like there’s just something morally wrong about holding someone for a long period time with no charges, no trial, no nothing?!

In all seriousness, this is one of those things that cuts across ideological lines. You’d think any small government conservative would be appalled.
